كابول، أفغانستان (CNN) — أكد الناطق باسم وزارة الصحة الأفغانية ارتفاع حصيلة الانفجار الضخم الذي ضرب الأربعاء منطقة مجاورة لتجمع السفارات الأجنبية في العاصمة الأفغانية كابول إلى 80 قتيلا وأكثر من 300 جريح، في حين أصدرت حركة طالبان بيانا نفت فيه مسؤوليتها عن العملية.

وأظهرت مقاطع فيديو من موقع الانفجار آثار دمار واسع وأعمدة من الدخان الكثيف في حين كانت عربات الإسعاف تحاول التقدم وسط انتشار أمني كثيف. ويمكن في التسجيلات سماع أصوات الصراخ وصفارات الإنذار.

وقالت المصادر الأمنية الأفغانية إن الانفجار وقع جراء عملية انتحارية على مقربة من السفارة الألمانية. أما مراسلة صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال، جيسيكا دوناتي، فقالت إن الانفجار نجم عن سيارة مفخخة كانت بجوار مدخل “المنطقة الخضراء” الشديدة الحراسة في كابول.

ووقع الانفجار أثناء ساعة الذروة في أفغانستان حيث تكتظ الشوارع بالموظفين المتوجهين إلى أعمالهم، ويقصد عدد كبير من الأفغان المنطقة الخضراء للعمل في السفارات أو في المقرات العسكرية الموجودة فيها.

ولم يصدر حتى الآن أي بيان يشير إلى هوية الجهة التي تقف خلف الهجوم، ولكن العملية تعتبر مؤشرا إلى مدى تردي الوضع الأمني في البلاد. وسبق لوزارة الدفاع الأمريكية أن أعلنت عن دراسة إمكانية إرسال المزيد من الجنود الأمريكيين إلى أفغانستان ضمن قوات من حلف شمال الأطلسي بهدف تدريب ودعم القوات الأفغانية بمواجهات تنظيمات مثل طالبان والقاعدة وداعش.
