حافظ تشيلسي على آماله في التأهل إلى مسابقة دوري أبطال أوروبا الموسم المقبل، بفوزه على ضيفه ليفربول بهدف نظيف مساء الأحد على ملعب “ستامفورد بريدج” في الجولة الـ 37 من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم.

وأحرز المهاجم الفرنسي أوليفييه جيرو هدف المباراة الوحيد في الدقيقة 32.

وارتفع رصيد تشيلسي بهذا الفوز إلى 69 نقطة في المركز الخامس، بفارق نقطتين وراء الرابع توتنهام، الذي خسر السبت أمام وست بروميتش ألبيون بهدف نظيف، علما بأنه لكل منهما مباراة مؤجلة، أمّا ليفربول، فبات مهدّدا هو الآخر بفقدان المركز الثالث، في حال فاز توتنهام في مباراته المؤجلة، بعدما تجمّد رصيده عند 72 نقطة.
