Thousands experienced anguish in Berlin as Germany were defeated by South Korea

They brought their passion, hopes and dreams but were ultimately left disappointed

Mexico fans meanwhile celebrated with South Koreans - had Korea not won, Mexico would have been eliminated

There was pure elation among South Korean fans though as their players received a rapturous reception from the stands
